Crop feeding a baby corella cockatoo parrot

We have had a huge influx of baby corellas being brought into the clinic this week. They are flying out of their nests and learning to navigate under their parent's guidance. These two gorgeous corellas were brought in as they were found on the ground. They were in great health but obviously out of their nest and their parents would have been training them to eat on their own. Unfortunately, they were taken away from their parents because the people that found them didn't know any better. We often get wildlife brought in and many are usually injured. However, in this case, they weren't. I had to crop feed them until a wildlife carer was able to pick them up. Please call a vet clinic before you pick up any birds unless they are in direct danger of being hit by a car or attacked by another animals (cat or dog). It is worth ringing wildlife helpline or vet clinic to get more information before doing so. If you hear the corellas making this sound, this is the give away indicating they are young and calling out to their parents for food.
